in CDT we got to choose what we wanted to make so we had to make a wiki to tell what we wanted to make .
My project
I have chosen a wooden WWII tank.
BUT WHY
because my grandad was in the RAF the second world war i know that he never drove a tank but still he was in the army.
WHAT IT SHOULD HAVE
The canon part should be alowed to move circuler
The tank should be 15cm long 8 cm wide
The canon should be at least 7cm long and 2cm wide.
The paint will be dark green and grey
This is what it should look like when it is done it might take 14 weeks less or more just depends
REASEARCH
Alot of tanks were used in world war 2 to kill lots of enemys in world war 2. So in world war 2 tanks were very usefull and dangerous
Ewan, what do you think your next steps should be? Remember you can use paper etc to start drawing out plans for your design
Week update
Every week i will post what i have done
On thursday 24th of febuary We were took round the tools equipment and other stuff and how to use i started by glueing three bits of wood together and put clamps on each side and screwed the handal until it was tight Then the body of the tank i only drew an outline of the body and then we had to tidy up next week i will try get a video or a picture and put it up. Next time i will carve the wheels and the body of the tank with a copping saw and see where i will wok from there
THURSDAY 3RD MARCH
Today we were alowed to just go in and get started
I carved my body of the tank and that took a lot of my block
I also started to cut out my wheels but i only got
between these lines next to it [ ]
about that big.
The skill i learned is patience in work
Next time i plan to finish the wheels and then make a start on the cannon
i also have attached a video i know its now that good but next week will be better.
Thursday 10th march
Hello welcome again to my learning log
today i got my cannon and the place where it goes in
i tried to cut one of my wheels and it broke FAIL
i glued it back on.
I also learned that most people in my class have photgraphy pictures lol
